Re: Constructs​


This project was an attempt to reassembled South Korea urban environments by way of photo-collage.  I used collage as a means to expand the space and time of an environment, as well as to embed other images found within the immediate area.  This creates an internalized photographic dialog that speaks to the multifaceted identity of South Korea.   Photo-collage allows me to share juxtapositions, both social and temporal, within the Korean landscape that would be impossible to observe in traditional documentary photography.  I employ this method to examine the environments that directly affect the Korean community and the people who make up her national identity.
